The long-awaited and debated sidewalks are about to happen!
The contractor has been assigned, construction signs have been installed by the County, the contractor has put construction notice door flags on the gates or doors of each house along the route, and the county has sent mailers to the property owners (sample shown here). Soon we should see work teams clearing and grubbing to prepare for the concrete.
Some details are shown in the mailer, however, Desoto Acres residents will have an opportunity on January 16th to ask any questions about the construction process and potential temporary disruptions directly to the County Project Manager, Terra Ray. January 16th is the Date of the Desoto Acres Association meeting, where Terra Ray will be the guest speaker. (See our events page for more info on the annual meeting).
We expect that much patience and forbearance will be needed while construction occurs, but the Association trusts that it will be worth it in the end.
